WASD — move.

E — interact. Exclamation mark above an object — press E, do the chore, fill the bar. Bar full — you remember a hiding spot. Press E on it. To open the book press E.

During calls — choose dialogue options with mouse. Push too hard — Alex hangs up. Listen — he says more.

Plot

Alex calls. Almost every day. Talks about nothing: steps at work, the wrong umbrella, a light left on. Ordinary conversations. Almost. You listen and feel it: something's different. Not bad, not good — just different. And you want to understand. Not to diagnose him. But because it's Alex. And you care.

You once scribbled six notes — six guesses about what might be going on with him. Then you hid them around the apartment. Like an idiot. Now you can't remember where.

But there's a way. Do chores around the house — an exclamation mark appears above objects, press E, the bar fills up. Fill it completely and memory throws you a clue. Somewhere here, behind the shelf, in a drawer, under the bed. Find the note, take it to the book, paste it in. Piece by piece.

Meanwhile — calls. You have one minute. Alex has a crappy phone plan, and he's not big on long talks anyway. Push too hard and he'll hang up. So listen. Don't interrupt. Don't be a jerk. Collect all the notes, match them with what you've heard, and make the call.
